Ventus Blue Reviews
There's not much need to read any reviews about the Ventus Blue (or for that matter any of the ventus shafts) but in case you're hard to please and insist on doing your research, here's a list of the top reviews for the Ventus Blue shaft:
Ventus Blue Review from Pluggedingolf.com
https://pluggedingolf.com/fujikura-ventus-shaft-review/
"The Fujikura Ventus is extremely accurate. Consistently high ball speed. Among the lowest spinning shafts I’ve ever hit."
Ventus Blue Shaft Review from MyGolfSpy
https://mygolfspy.com/shaft-review-fujikura-ventus/
"During our fittings players often have two comments about the Ventus. The first is about how great the shaft feels. The second is about how good the misses are. These are both rooted in how the Ventus transfers energy and how little it twists." (from CoolClubs Fitting Crew - if you don't know these guys, check them out)
Ventus Blue Shaft Review from Driving Range Heroes:
https://drivingrangeheroes.com/fujikura-ventus-shaft-review/
"While it took some adjusting to, the Fujikura Ventus is the real deal. It’s not the flashiest shaft in the world, but to me, it’s like a ninja – stealthy and inconspicuous, but packs a huge punch. If you need tighter dispersion on drives, while lowering launch and spin, you need to take a look at the new Fujikura Ventus"
Ventus Red Driver Shafts
The Ventus Red is a mid-high launch with a stiff tip section, firm mid-section and ultra-stiff handle section. It features all the same technology as the Ventus Blue, including Velocore, with the main differences being the firmness/stiffness of the sections mentioned above. Hideki Matsuyama, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Jordan Spieth, Adam Scott and Patrick Cantlay have all used a Ventus Red at some point. The softest tip section of the TR profiles helps promote a mid-high launch profile deal for players seeking increased launch with controlled spin.
How Much Does a Ventus Red Weight (Ventus Red Specs)
The Ventus red shaft comes in weights from 58.5gm to 95gms (Unless your name starts with "The" (e.g The Hulk, The Rock, The Big Show") not sure who would be able to swing a 95gm shaft!
Ventus Red Shaft Reviews
Many of the Ventus Red shaft reviews are generic views of the original ventus range. Here's some of the best reviews of the Ventus Red that we recommend:
Ventus Red (Vs Blue) Review by Sportic Media
https://sporticmedia.com/ventus-red-vs-blue-honest-comparison-and-review/
"Because it is a more stable golf shaft during impact, the Ventus red can be regarded as one of the best on the market, increasing MOI and smash factor."
Ventus Red with Velocore Review by Fairway Jockey
https://fairwayjockey.com/blogs/news/fujikura-ventus-red-shaft-all-you-need-to-know
"A more stable golf shaft during the impact will increase MOI and smash factor. In addition, the feel of the shot is going to be quite a bit better as well"
Ventus Black Shafts
Dustin Johnson used the Ventus Black to win the 2020 Masters and the Ventus Black is widely used amongst the more agressive hitters on the PGA Tour. Ventus black is a low launch/low spin profile with an ultra-stiff handle and tip section for players with a quick transition that prefer minimal flex during the swing. This would be considered the F1 of the Ventus (original lineup) for golfers with higher swing speeds.

Ventus Black Shaft Review from Pluggedingolf.com
https://pluggedingolf.com/fujikura-ventus-black-shaft-review/
"The Fujikura Ventus Black takes everything that was good about the original but dials up the stability. Less active feel and lower launch than the Ventus Blue."
Ventus Black Shaft Review from Driving Range Heroes
https://drivingrangeheroes.com/fujikura-ventus-black-shaft-review/
It’s forgiving, stable, and full of control. This shaft is as accurate as they come but you need to have some power in your swing to maximize performance. Perfect for some of the big hitters on Tour this next season.

VENTUS TR SHAFTS
The Ventus TR shafts are the next generation of the original Ventus shafts. Since its launch, VENTUS has been one of the most played, most trusted, and best-selling and performing wood shafts in Fujikura history. As Fujikura continually search for improvement and ways to make the best even better, we set the bar for shaft performance one notch higher with VENTUS TR.
The integration of ultra-high modulus spread tow carbon fabric in the original VENTUS TR Blue proved to be such a key technology advancement to optimize shaft performance, the configuration now spans three distinct profiles to complete the VENTUS TR line. Reinforcing the mid/handle section with additional material not only helps reduce unwanted twist and deformation, but also leads to more on-center hits and unique alterations to launch and spin characteristics.
The Ventus TR shafts builds on an ultra-stable VeloCore platform and boosts overall stability with an added layer of ultra-high modulus spread tow material to stiffen torque in the mid/handle section, providing increased stability where it’s needed most. More consistency, better center-faced contact, and improved performance on every shot. Each VENTUS TR model offers similar feel to its original VENTUS counterpart but provides reduced launch and spin and
improved consistency and accuracy.
Key Features of the Ventus TR Shaft Lineup

Ventus Shafts With Velocore Vs Ventus Shafts Without Velocore
One of the most popular questions we get, almost on a daily basis, is "do you Ventus shafts come with Velocore?" Firstly, only the after-market or custom option shafts will typically feature Velocore. Generally if you buy a driver or wood off the shel in a golf shop, this wilk not have Velocore in it. You can tell if a Ventus shaft has velocore because it'll have the Velocore logo near the tip pof the shaft. What exactly is Velocore?
VeloCore technology is a multi-material bias core construction technique that delivers ultimate stability through transition and impact (maximizing clubhead MOI) – increasing velocity and smash factor. The multi-material core is crafted with full-length, ultra-high modulus Pitch 70 Ton Carbon Fiber — 150% stronger and more stable than T1100g — for ultimate stability, and 40 Ton bias layers ensure incredible feel.
VeloCore helps deliver ultimate stability through transition and impact throughout the bag. VENTUS woods and AXIOM irons with VeloCore Technology promote consistent center-face impact and provide ultimate stability, tightening dispersion and increasing control. The result are shaft designs that maximize the MOI and ball speed of your clubhead through the reduction of twist during the swing and at impact, especially on off-center hits.
VeloCore-powered products such as the Ventus shaft are extremely stable which help players find the center of the clubface more often, giving players maximum performance on every shot. VeloCore helps golfers at every swing speed and skill level improve their accuracy. Your mishits will be minimized due to a reduction in twist of the clubface. Less energy lost equals more consistent results for both accuracy and distance. This translates to more accurate from the tee for more fairways, and closer proximity to the target on your approach shot, both accuracy and yardage.
Your Author tried one of the Ventus Blue OEM shafts that was stock off the shelf in a Callaway Rogue driver and found I hit this better than the Aftermarket version costing $350. So go figure. This just goes to prove, and the one thing we want you take away from the article, is that you should go and get fit to see what Ventus shaft is right for you. Maybe you won't even hit any of them good, but based on our experience, there's a high chance that if you get fit, a Ventus shaft can dramatically increase ball speed, distance and carry, and feels more stable than other shafts.
Which Ventus Shaft Should You Choose?
Ultimately the choice of what Ventus shaft you should choose should come down to you getting a fitting. We'd be happy to give you some recommendations once we know how you swing the club but it'd be much better to get a fitting because this will give you a much more accurate idea of what Ventus will best fit your swing. You can then come back to us and order the shaft and we'll assemble a tip and adapter and ship it to you free for the same cost of the shaft itself (so basically when you buy with Tour Spin Golf, you're getting a free grip, free adapter, free assembly and free shipping worldwide (excluding some countries). If we have stock, which is highly likely because the Ventus is the most popular shaft in golf, we can do this within 1-2 business days. You can also try Fujikura's Fujifit, an online fitting tool, but again, we strongly recommend you get a fitting before buying.
